We understand the pressures, demands and timescales placed upon local authorities. We work together with identified professionals to assess, plan and place each young person.
Referrals and admissions can occur throughout the year. Every step is designed to make sure we can meet the young person’s needs.
The young person’s local authority makes an enquiry about a possible placement and shares the relevant information.
An assessment form is completed so we can be sure the young person’s welfare needs can be appropriately met.
The director meets informally with the young person and their social worker, away from the home.
A visit to the home follows, and we complete an internal risk assessment within 72 hours of admission.
The young person receives a welcome pack, a guide and an induction covering fire safety and the local area.
Monthly review meetings monitor the young person’s growth plan and progress.
BremCare is able to provide emergency placements. Each referral is considered on the information provided, to inform a robust risk assessment. Where additional staffing is needed to meet a young person’s identified need, this is funded by the local authority.
For all referral and care-package matters, contact our placements team. We respond quickly and can assess at short notice.
